  1. some names that happen to be one of the 99 of Allah's names, are allowed for a muslim to be named by it.

    like Raheem(merciful),Rau'f(caring,merciful),

    kareem(generous)..etc.

but without using the ''Al'' (the) this belongs to Allah only..

of course some names can't be named to humans, like ghafour,ghaffar,baseer,samee'..etc. these names can't becalled for humans.

  2. Yes its allowed sister !i

  3. w.salam

  4. It is not haram it just doesn't make sense. Change it to Muhammed.

  5. yes it can work

  6. no it's not a sin if you keep it because raheem is a name.

you can add muhammad abdul raheem

but just muhammad raheem is fine it's no sin

  7. I am a Muslim(s**+'ite) too. We rarely use Mohammad Rahim but I think Abdul Rahim be better.(or use them seperately  Rahim or Mohammad.).If u don't mind I've added u to my contact to get ur opinion about my questions too sister.

  8. ya like my uncles name is AbdelBasit, and i heard its haram to call him basit, you have to say Abdel Basit.

  9. You have to put Abdul before the 99 names of Allah.

  10. Allah's some name can not be called without Abdul

u have to put Abdul b4 them

Thse r Rahman ,quddus subhan ,ghaffar ,raziq, khaliq

but few names r which can be called with out abdul

raheem is one of them ,u can call him raheem

  11. As Salaam to you all,

It is on high standing that within the Hadith there is a report that the Prophet (pbuh) once said to Abu Shurayh, because the latter answered to the previous name of Abu al Hakam': Allah is al Hakam [THE JUDGE]; His is the judgment.' Abu Shurayh replied [in his own self-defense]: 'My people come to me for adjudication of their disputes; and when I judge between them, both parties are pleased with my judgment [Thus, I am rightly called "father of justice"].' The Prophet (pbuh) rejoined: 'How excellent is this! Do you have any children?' He replied: "[three sons] Shurayh, Muslim and Abdullah." "Who is the eldest," the Prophet (pbuh) asked? "Shurayh," came back the reply. The Prophet (pbuh) said: "Very well, then, you are [henceforth to be called] Abu Shurayh.

    1)

This shows that man should show respect for the attributes and names of Allah (SWT) and care not to disrespect them even unintentionally.

    2)

That one should change one's name out of respect for any one of Allah (SWT)'s names.

    3)

That taking the eldest son's name is best.

So the spelling of Mohammed is not of any consequence but the name Raheem is, being as it is one of the attributes of Allah (SWT).

    Wa Salaam.

  12. no its good name

    abdul raheem

    abdul rahman

    muhammad abul raheem

    muhammad abdul rahman

  13. Alhamdulillah.

Calling a human by the name of Raheem is ok insha Allah.

While Al-Raheem is one of Allah's Names, your nephew's name is not "Al-Raheem" but rather it is simply Raheem and it is possible for a human to have the quality of rahmah or "mercy".

That being said; Abdul Raheem is by far the better name because it emphasizes our submission to Allah as His slaves.

    Allah knows best.

  14. now when you say raheem it means that he is merciful or it's a description of him if you say al raheem it means the merciful whom which we all know so when you say abdul raheem it means

    abd- servant

    ul,al,el-the

    raheem -merciful

so there is nothing wrong with calling him raheem it's haram calling him al-raheem

  15. yes it's allowed , raheem is just like kareem , aziz , noor etc..

u can use this names as long as u dont add the ( Al ) letter..

    always love & peace..

    Edit:-

i really like sister ranoushe's answer..
