Is TiVo reliable? I need to record a college telecourse and I need to find something reliable to record M-F?

Are there DVDs that can record a program or do I have to revert to a Vcr? I am trying to get done with college but they have very few classes in the summer so I have to resort to taking a telecourse.

My TIVO is more reliable then the power around here. Get a TIVO and a UPS and you should be fine -

I record from TIVO to Recordable DVD all the time, DVD Recorders are cheap now less then $100

UPS=Uninterpretable Power Supply (Battery with inverter) Look for it in the computer section of Best Buy or Circuit City etc)

Tivo is extremely reliable.  I have it and I don't think I can live without it. It records without a problem and you can program it in advance.  Easy to program.
