Is Tiger's caddy under contract to Tiger?

Does Tiger use the same caddy every week? I'm not a regular TV golf fan, and so I was suprised to see how much the golfers rely on their caddies for input. I'm guessing Tiger wants to have the same caddy every week, and he can afford to take him around the world with him if he wants to do so. (I've never had a caddy myself) Do most of the pros have a regular caddy? If so, what kind of money do the top caddy's pull down?

  1. "In a professional golf tour setting, a player often pays their caddy a percentage of their winnings, which can be as high as 10%. A common pay scale is 5% for making the cut, 7% for a top 10, and 10% for a win. The caddy also usually receives a salary, as the player may not be guaranteed to win money at every tournament the player enters."

Tiger's caddy makes more money than most of the players on tour.  Stevie has been carrying Tiger's bag for over 10 years now but I do not believe he is under any sort of contract.  If Tiger feels he needs a change, he is free to do so at any time.

  2. yes, his caddy is always his unless he gets rid of him
