Is Tim Russert's father "Big Russ" still alive?? If not, when did he pass away?

I heard on MSNBC over the weekend that "Big Russ" is in a nursing home in the Boston Massachusetts area, which Tim moved him to for better care.

No, Big Russ is still with us, bless his soul.

The poor guy & Tim's family. They have got to be so shocked by the sudden death - such a shame to loose a loved one with absolutely no warning.  Our prayers go out to his family during this difficult time.

Yes, He lives in West Seneca, NY (Outside of Buffalo)

I did hear a rumor that Tim Russert moved his father into a nursing home last week, but I don't know if that is true b/c he was in Italy last week.

yes  he is still alive... thats is one of the many reasons his death is so sad... He preceded his dad in death on a fathers day weekend.... Tim was all about his dad, they were so close as Tim and his own son were.

He has written a book called Big Russ and Me and also an excellent one is Wisdom of our Fathers...They are both worth reading!!!
