Is Tim Tebow being a sore loser?
Much has been said and a lot exaggerated to create hype over Tim Tebow’s exploit and heroics. All of which seemingly went down the drain in the last two games the Denver Broncos played and in both Tebow was the villain who made
his own team lose.
So how does Tebow take it when the Broncos lose due to his mistakes? A defiant Tebow is not found taking or standing up to the blame to account for his mistakes but is seen diplomatically and cunningly shifting the blame away from
him.
Now let’s take a look at what happened when the Broncos lost to the Buffalo Bills. The 40-14 defeat sustained at the hands of the lowest ranked team of the AFC East came as a shock for the Broncos fans who could never have expected
of such a setback. The man who possibly made it happen was not from the Buffalo side but was the Broncos’ hero himself; the Tim Tebow. Tebow landed up four interceptions in that game and all in the second half when they were needed by the Bills the most. Two
of them went down for touchdowns and surely made the day for Bills and helped them surge way ahead of the Broncos.
So how did one expect Tebow to react after the game? A man of honour would have stood up to his mistakes and ready to take the blame for the debacle which fell on his team but not Tebow. Tebow preferred to keep up with his boasts
trying to prevail himself over his fans.
"My confidence is just fine," Tebow said. "I have to do a better job of not giving them opportunities. I tried to make something happen, and I tried to force it."
Tebow had completed just 13 of 30 passes which was far less than 50 percent of the total. Bills quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick on the hand played much better than Tebow.
Tebow found the much needed support in the form of his own coach John Fox who came short of recognizing his player’s mistakes. He termed the disastrous performance a “couple of misreads”. What Fox failed to recognize was that those
seemingly couple of misreads brought in the humiliating loss for the Broncos.
And how exactly Tebow managed to save himself from the scenario? It is simple. There was one more game left for the Broncos. A win over the Kansas City Chiefs would have brought them the AFC West title and that was exactly what
Tebow capitalized on to save face.
"Everything is still on the table. We have to go and execute and play a little better. Hopefully, we can get in the tournament." Tebow said.
However, Tebow failed to prove himself again when the Broncos lost to the Chiefs 7-3 the next weekend. So where did Tebow’s earlier claim of his confidence being fine go?  Kyle Orton the man who could not be outsmarted by Tebow
on practice field proved to be the better one once again in the game.
However, Tebow found another opportunity to save face. The San Diego Charger had beaten the Oakland Raiders that helped the Broncos claim the AFC West title and the opportunistic Tebow needed just that,.
“I think it's still a special thing what we accomplished, to come back and win the AFC West is very special." Tebow said.
So is Tebow being the sore loser or is he successfully coming up with strong reasons to defy his failure each time?
