  1. He's right up there. He's put up one of the best win-loss records in basball right now and is one of the strikeout leaders, yet he's with a very weak team.

  2. hands down and without a question

  3. ya

  4. he's getting there

within the next 2-3 years, he will be the best

  5. Edinson Volquez is the best pitcher in the Major Leagues at this time. Lincecum is really good though!

  6. yup

  7. Do you mean the best this season? If you don't, then of course not since this is just his first year of dominance in the majors. But if you do mean best this season, it's debatable, but I don't think he is the best.

I'd give that honor to Cliff Lee. Cliff Lee has a lower ERA then Lincecum and he plays in a more hitter-friendly park and he has to pitch to the DH. Lee also has a K/BB ratio over five while Lincecum's is under three. Lee's WHIP is lower too.

One could also argue that Duchscherer has pitched better then Lincecum.

  8. Everybody is leaving out Ben Sheets...when he is healthy, he is the best pitcher in the major leagues.

I like Lincecum a lot...he will be sensational in the future and will be one of the best.  As for now, he's just getting started.

  9. Lincecum is good dont get me wrong but he is way young to be calling him the best pitcher in the majors..... I mean look what Roy Halladay does year in and year out... Look at the stuff that Rich Harden has when healthy.... Or what about C.C  Sabathia or Josh Beckett.... all of which are more proven then Lincecum..  Give him another couple of years before we start this conversation

  10. I wouldnt say Lincecum is the best right now but one of the top 5:

    Lohse

    Duchscherer

    Sabathia

    Lincecum

    Halladay

  11. The reason I like him so much is because he defies the laws of physics, because of his size.

((for example CC Sabathia (Great, excellent) weighs 290, Tim weighs 160 and can pitch just as fast, it's incredible))

He is a force, a great pitcher with a winning record on a team that isn't doing really well.

He's definitely a top pitcher if not the top.

  12. No. In order to be the best, you have to have a history. I'd take Johan Santana, Sabathia, Halladay, Peavy and Carlos Zambrano before Lincecum at this juncture in their respective careers.

  13. if he can keep this improving at this pace, in time he will be great!

  14. He's one of them! My list for this season would be the following:

    AL~Lee, Halladay, and Duchscherer

    NL~Webb, Volquez, and Lincecum

  15. I would choose Peavy, but "currently" this years top pitcher is Duchscherer. I have always seen Lincecum with ACE potential, but he needs to create a bigger track record to be considered the best pitcher in the majors. Though Lincecum does have amazing stuff. His control has been unbelievable compared to last year, but he still has to prove he can be consistent. Lets see how he finishes this year. I'm guessing a 2.90-3.30 era.
