Is To Heart 2 related to To Heart 1?

I wanted to know if To Heart 2 was related in any way to the original To Heart series. Because some people said it was and then some people said it wasn't. So I got confused and wanted to straighten it out.

ToHeart 2 takes place 2 years after ToHeart 1, and only the himeyuri sisters from the ToHeart OVAs reappear in the game. The school setting remains the same, although the uniforms received a greater degree of change with straighter collars and bigger ribons.

I loved the To Heart series so I just looked it up. It says that the setting is at the same school, but the characters are completely different. I hope that answers your question
