  1. I don't think Kyle's shadow has anything to do with it. He is getting some fast and good handling cars on a consistent basis. Makes me wonder if Gibbs teams shares information like Hendrick's teams do. The way Kyle has been running it looks like they have been keeping their secrets to themselves. I'll have to admit he can drive the car slideways which is what the COT takes to be fast.

  2. I was kind of thinking the same thing.  Maybe he is content to just stay quiet right now, but Stewart does not seem like the type of guy who wants to hang out in the Shrub's shadow.  However one thought did cross my mind...I was thinking that maybe he was holding back just a little bit while all these talks about him getting back into a Chevy play out.  I have nothing to back this up, but if he wanted to be dedicated to Chevy, why would he want to be in the spotlight driving a Toyota?  Kyle and Denny are doing fine for Toyota, so let them have the spotlight.

  3. I hate to state the obvious, but I don't think Kyle throws a shadow.  That's one skinny kid.

Does "Kyle #18 Whoops You" have some kind of obsession about Junior?  This question wasn't even about him.  lol

  4. Well it's kind of hard to win a race when some pin head puts you in the wall when the race has gone only 2 laps.

  5. NO of course not? Other than being wrecked by Eliot Sadler the other day hes been getting good finishes.

  6. NO. Tony is not in Kyle's shadow.

As much as I do not want to admit it. Kyle is dominant and He will win the Cup this Year. I like Tony He will win races but Kyle. This is His year

  7. Since when does KY have a shadow to cast????????

Lets just look over the past 3 seasons and compare because Numbers dont lie.

KY - 7 wins, 3 of them are this season.

    2005 - 20th in pts, avg finish - 21

    2006 - 10th in pts, avg finish - 15.5

    2007 - 5th in pts, avg finish - 14

Tony - 13 wins, 0 this season ( and yes he does turn it on mid way through)

    2005 - Cup champ avg finish - 9.9

    2006 - 11th in pts, avg finish - 13.8

    2007 - 6th in points, avg finish - 13.1

Although KY has beat Tony in the points the past 2 seasons, Tony's avg finish is still better and he still had more wins, being that everyone is throwing the wins around.  The season is still early and Tony has a farily decent pad back to 13th place.

Tony is by no means in a shadow of KY and as far as I'm concerned, he still has a lot to prove to be considered the best one.

Remember, Jeff Gordon was leading the points going into the chase last year and Jeff was the guy to beat all year long.  But the fact still remains that Jeff didnt win the championship because anymore it doesnt matter what you do through out the season, it only matters what you do in the final 10.

Mark this post, KY will NOT win the championship this year.  I'm not saying that my driver is going to, but I do believe that we'll have a new cup champ, one that's never won it before, but it will not be KY.

So I would use this time to re-joyce in your drivers success, because it's not going to last.  He'll start pulling out one bone headed move after another and he'll drop like a rock.

  8. Not hardly....it's way too early in the season to be counting out Smoke. The only shadow shrub casts is his alter ego. =o~}

  9. Doesnt really matter....in five years, they will all be standing in the shadow of Warren Wallace......100 miles away and ready to strike!

  10. Nope.  Tony is standing in the shadows of his two championship trophies.  Kyle has a long way to go to surpass Smoke.

  11. More like lurking, not standing. Tony's 10 times the driver Shrub is anyway. If it has wheels, Smoke will find a way to win with it, doesn't matter if it's a stock car, Indy Car, sprint car, or a golf cart. Remember this Tony's won a title in every series he's ever driven in, Shrub's never won a title in any series he's ever driven in.

  12. Tony is better in the heat Fluff.   When he won his last title he didn't win till the Sonoma race then went crazy.  He may be in his shadows now but he'll strut his stuff.

  13. tony's standing side-by-side with busch as jgr teammates, dominating the top two series.  and as i posted elsewhere, it is well documented (check racing-reference.info) that over half of tony's 32 wins (18 to be exact) in ten years of cup racing have come in the second third of the season - only four have ever come in the first third.

"it ain't arrogance if you got the talent to back it up"

  14. Kinda sorta right now....stewie will warm up later but I hope he keeps his fat a*s*s off the fence....and wrecks whiny hamlin sometime this year. That would be great!

  15. Smoke has a couple championships over the kid..

  16. where, oh there he is i couldnt see him in that darknes

  17. Your crazy if you think Tony Stewart is in anyone's shadow!  Have ya thought about the fact that Tony doesn't want to be in a Toyota he's a Chevy man and from what I hear he's looking to get back into a Chevy.  As far as Kyle goes well do you think Tony has much use for a selfish little sh** anyways.  Tony's doing fine and will be up there getting the attention when he wants to ( and doesn't get put into the wall after 2 laps)
