Is Topher a good name for a baby boy?

okay...

im 15 and not plannin on knocking anybody up anytime soon or anything, but Topher seems like a good name to me. i really like it, but everybody says it sounds like a dogs name =/ they say i should just name a boy christopher and call him topher. but thats not what i want. i want a sonnamed topher. is it really that strange??

It  makes me think of a foot disease.  I think it's ugly and odd.

Topher is a nickname for Christopher, like the actor Topher Grace (yeah - 'That 70's Show' rules!). It's o.k. in this form, but one it's own, well, think Topher Gopher etc... as long as kids continue being nasty little things, he'll cop it.

Piper, on the other hand: strong, yet feminine. I love it!

I love Christopher, but not Topher it sounds like a combination of Gopher and Tofu or something.

There's some bad names out there. Topher is just a new variation of Christopher. I bet Chris sounded weird too. As long as you don't name you kid apple or sunset, its not so bad. And i'd wait ten or fifteen years before you start having kids to name Topher.

Topher is just fine for a baby boy.  Not my personal favourite, but there is certainly nothing wrong with it.

thats ugly . kind of sounds like gopher . i think the kid will be made fun of . and if the babys name is christopher .. why would people call him topher and not chris ?

It's not really strange, it reminds me of Topher Grace (he's on That 70's show). However, I don't care for it.
