Ive been watching a TV show called Torchwood on DirecTV. Its on one of their HD channels, so not a real broadcasting network. Its a sci-fi show, kind of X-files like, and while the plot is a obvious in some ways, I ended up enjoying it and watched quite a few episodes- at least a season or two's worth. Is Torchwood popular in the UK? Are there more seasons coming?

Thanks

  2. well yeah!! It is british after all

edit: well if its british then it should be shown in britain

  3. from the viewing fiqures in the uk- yes-- it is a spin off of the long time Doctor Who sci fi series. Doctor who first ran from 1963- 1989 and then was brought back in 2005

    - season one of the New  Dr who introduced the Character of Capt Jack --Episodes 9/10 and then Capt Jack is in eps 11-13

season 3 will start filming in august- but it will be only 5 episodes- all one story

  4. I've never watched it myself but yes, it is relatively popular. It's a spin-off of Doctor Who and is advertised as the "adult version".

  5. Apart from Silent Witness, its probably the worst series (not featuring Bruce Forsyth) that the BBC has ever made.  Here its advertised as sci-fi for adults - that shows the bbc thinks we are all kids!
