I ask, coming from living in San Antonio, Texas. Is Toronto expensive like New York?

Is it also a very accepting place?

I also want to be a fashion stylist..living there, would I make a good living in that industry living there?

  1. Toronto is probably more expensive than New York and that is because of highet taxes, depends on where and how you live too. One of the safest cities still in the world to live. everyone is welcome here........g*y not problem ...not here.... come on down and check it out first to see if you like...........cool

  2. Toronto and Montreal. Montreal is the g*y capital of the world.Montreal acceptance is tops in the country.

  3. Younge / Charles / Church area, you'll be with lots of friends

Toronto expensive but there are cheap places too

  4. Believe me, Toronto isn't cheap. But, it's a nice place to live.

I hear it can be expensive to live in the city, but if you have a steady income, life can be fair, if you are ready to live modestly.

As the largest city and cultural center of Canada, Toronto is culturally rich and diverse and offers lots of oppurtunities for fashion/ art/ creative buisiness. Plenty of musicians, artists, and creative people find their place in Toronto.

As a g*y man, you will be welcomed with open arms. Toronto and all of Canada is VERY g*y friendly and is one of the only countries in the world to legalize g*y marraige. Compared to the United States, especially Texas, Canada is the most accepting place you can call home, especially for homosexuals. g*y bars, restaurants, towns, activities and events are commonplace across Canada, and Toronto is the capital of it all.

Toronto is cheaper than NY, but it's still expensive.

  5. It is quite expensive, due to taxes, example Gst&Pst (the sales taxes here) are 13% and are levied on near everything. However the city is diverse and quite spectacular. It is very open (49% of the city is not native, so it makes an amazing melting pot) being such its very accepting and two men holding hands, nor is it heavily noticed (unless by foreign tourists) as far as fashion industry toronto would be a excellent place for a career in such, being its becoming a fashion mecca so to say

    Best Regards

  6. Expensive by Canadian standards but not compared to New York. Go to mls.ca to check real estate prices. Toronto has a huge g*y pride day every year, and especially if you're working in the arts field, no one will bat an eye at you being g*y. You might get a little bit of a hard time from the odd person in some very small places but in a city of any size in Canada, people will barely notice and won't care if you're g*y. If you're any good at what you do, you could make anywhere from a decent living to a very good one. You might also consider Vancouver, if you haven't already. Maybe a bit more expensive for housing but it's an excellent place to live and has warmer though wetter winters than Toronto.
