  1. No, it is forecast to lift northeast and remain out to sea.  The upper wind flow over the northeastern U.S. is such that it will keep Cristobal from turning back toward land.  You can find the latest forecasts and other information here: http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/

  2. I hope so!  It's WAY too hot right now, and a storm would cool things down!

  3. I doubt it, but, one can never be so sure. And why would you hope it does? That would be a terrible thing to happen.

  4. the chances of tropical storm hitting new york city is as likely as the yankees beating the redsoxs!!!!

  5. Why would you think that? Cristobal is off the coast of North Carolina. It's moving north east, meaning it's moving AWAY from the US. The further north the storm goes, the colder the waters are and the storm will just die out. Cristobal isn't even that strong of a storm. If you are worrying about a major hurricane it certainly won't be Cristobal.

  6. christabal will be a tropical storm and will pass near nyc. the water is warm enough for a hurricane to form especcially off ht e coast along the gulf stream, but christabal will only bring high waves to the nyc area. the water temp is a bit cool for a major hurricane athough not out of the question and it has happened long in the past , so a major hurricane really wont hit nyc for at least a long time

  7. they did this on that weather channel series, it could happen tommorow. A category 3 hurricane directly hitting New York would catastrophic. I am usually good at following a hurricanes, but I have had to have 2 people tell me that there are hurricanes forming now. Like Bertha and Cristobal. This is only a depression so it will be dead by monday.Chances are slim because the water is really cold and would kill a hurricane. I am glad that thing lands tommorow, because I am in Myrtle Beach South Carolina and we have so many tourists here, and I have to work tommorow.

Well according to mister redsox guy up there chances are $100% because the Yankees will always beat the redsox and always have, I will match your 8 world series to my 26 world series.

  8. NO. NY city is gonna have to sit this one out. sorry

  9. http://hurricane.accuweather.com/hurrica...

    this is the projected path

  10. No, the area and water are too cold for it to build the strength.

  11. NO. The storm is going to turn clockwise very sharply and move away and weaken.

  12. I thought they were the same thing a hurricane and a tropical storm?

    but I doubt it
