++ Is Turkey Good ++?

Question

am going in two weeks so wanted to know if you've been is it good and if its gonna be warm now.

also will i get tan im going to stay there for 10 days.

I want last summer around the time you are going. It was very hot there, there was the hottest weather in 50 years when i was there (just my luck).  However, it was so amazing! i am only 15 but i have been places most people cant even dream of and turkey was one of the most culturaly interesting and astheticly pleasing countries i have ever been to. make sure not to trust the guys at the grand bazar in istanbul, they may say the rug is free, but only if you give them a kiss. just say you have a boyfriend back home and walk away. try to see a silk rug factory, seeing them take the silk from the worms cacoons was so cool. also, troy may seem interesting but it is just a pile of old rocks. bursa has a really good souvinere shop. kisudasi, has the coolest leather store, we met a really cool turkish model there who showed us around the whole country. cool i know. one last thing, you will have to take off your shoes in mosques and such so if you wear flip flops bring a pear of socks, and dont bother too much with hair because you will have to cover your head in them too. dont dress too riskay. daisy dukes and halters is a bad idea!!! wear bermuda shorts at least and sort sleves. turkish ppl do not have the highest regard for american ppl so there is no need to offend them. HAVE FUN

Turkey is not good at all it is GREAT :) You'll have a great time but becareful of the sun and use sun block.  You don't want to look like an alligator skin hand bag when your forty, not to mention skin cancer.

But just a question : what kind of tan would you like to get exactly? Is that your real picture? lol

Hi Estelle, maybe we got off on the wrong foot. A large number of Pakistani's do smell, saying that doesn't make me a racist you know.

Turkey is very nice, I have been three times, you will get a tan, no doubt about it, if you have fair skin though be careful that you dont get burnt.

Also, I go to Bradford College, I have nearly finished for the year now though.

there are good and bad parts. as a tourist, you will only see the goods but when you live there, you see the bads. So it should be fabulus from your side.

Turkey is a nice place and very warm in the summer.  The south coast is a good place to get a tan.  There a nice beaches.  Just be careful with the Turkish guys!

Its great, I've been 3 times (Bodrum/Marmaris/Olu Deniz).  The people are very friendly and welcoming, remember to barter in the shops/markets.  The weather will be gorgeous then and very hot, take lots of sun screen. The fresh fish is amazing.  Have a lovely time x

yes you will probably get tan more than you want if you don't be careful but turkey is a great place to have fun. Beaches and all are great.

You should use high factor sun block for the first 4-5 days, 20 or 30 factor at the very least. Else, your tanning adventure may turn sore. I see too many lobster-red tourists around. Don't worry, after a few days with good protection, you will have a nicer (not blotchy) tan.

And yes, Turkey is good.
