Why did Frank Lampard get UEFA midfielder of year?

The voting is wrong, it should be revamped. How did he beat such players like Gerrard, Fabregas, Essien and Scholes? lol

And what about John Terry over the rest?

voted by the last 16 managers in last years comp, lampard had a good tournament, the only other up there is cesc, gerrard was just alright and scholes didn't do that much in the whole tournament, i know he scored against barca, not much else. we won the main silver, who cares

lampard...well he was better than the others but still fabregas was the best,or even deco/xavi....as for neither of ferdinand/vidic getting it...i can tell u without being biased that its a joke...specially ferdinand...wat he did against barca over the 2 legs and the whole tournament played a big part in us winning the cl imo

Thats g*y. For both Terry and Lampard to get defender and midfielder of the year. Rio Ferdinand should've got the defender of the year while midfielder of the year had to go to either Gerrard or Fabregas. Both made great displays in the CL last year.

i didn't agree with it either but isn't it the managers of the last 16 from last season that vote? if so there isn't much that can really be changed seems pretty fair, also how the h**l Rooney get in ahead of Tevez, don't get me wrong Rooney is great but Tevez was much better in the CL last year especially against Barcelona!
