Of course the UK lottery is real, my second cousin won 7 million quid the 1st year it started.

The emails you get however are not real, they are a scam, like the NIgerian stuff, the only way you can play the lottery in the UK, is to buy a ticket like you would here in the US.

Usually when you did nothing and a message is sent to you randomnly saying "you have won" or some other misleading phrase ... it's a scam. Don't fall for it. Being gullible is definitely a bad thing.
