or is it promoting laws that oppress men?

In India a man can now be jailed for insulting his wife of any female relative http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/world/asia/article614140.ece

In Mexico “men who display extreme jealousy or avoid s*x with their wives could be tried in court and punished under a new law”

You already know about VAWA in the US, all energetically promoted by feminists: "All fifty states now allow police to make warrantless arrests of those accused of domestic violence offenses… In addition, several states make arrest in domestic violence cases mandatory” (Gruber 2007, p.760).

cases mandatory” (Gruber 2007, p.760). http://papers.ssrn.com/sol3/papers.cfm?abstract_id=991563#PaperDownload

My question: Do you feel ok knowing that UNIFEM is taking government money to promote laws that are used against men?

  1. The real question is - How much time do you spend gathering this evidence, and why do you do it when you KNOW that you aren't going to change ANYONE's opinion.  You must spend hours reading and gathering this data.  Is it part of your job?  Are you paid to do this?  If so, I can understand how you can jump over here for a half and hour and jot down some questions.  If not, then do you have a full-time job?  If so, your anti-feminist research must take up all of your extra time.  Do you have NO SOCIAL LIFE whatsoever?

Doing what you do to this extent implies a psychological disorder.  Please seek help.

  2. I don't have a single thing against women, and I happen to fend for their rights as equals. But when women are placed on a pedestal, that's not equality. That's special treatment. Which ultimately leads to reverse-sexism.

My answer is no. I don't feel OK about this movement. I support rights. I don't support bias. I have no doubt that within a few years, women will be able to go to the police office and complain about their husband cheating on them and be able to get their husband thrown in prison. Or say that their husband insulted them, or something to that effect.

Feminazi's have gotten out of control. They say they want equal rights, but in reality they want special rights and treatment. Hypocrites to the last breath. And they will soon be in our government running programs to combat men's 'horribly sexist lifestyles'.

The real fiends here... are no longer the men... But are the women.

  3. When are our leaders going to get a clue.  Don't they know favoring women is no better than favoring men? And no I don't feel ok with them taking money to fund these stupid laws.

  4. Uh, noooo...

There is no evidence for this.

UNIFEM works in developing countries to end such practices as female genital mutilation.   Evidently you approve of female genital mutilation.

These are human rights abuses and they contravene international laws - to which these countries are signatory.

  5. Your Gruber 'article' is merely an opinion piece.   Yes, mandatory prosecution is for the protection of women who are told if they prosecute they will come to further harm.   Its a good thing.

EDIT:  I read it -   it's her opinion.

UNIFEM is a non-profit organization that receives funding from various sources.  In fact if you look there is a 'Support Us' section where you can see who supports the entire agency.   And the "Annual Reports" are also available via that site.

  6. True, but women certainly do not care. That's why they fought for all these laws. They are amoral, so why bother bringing it up on a forum where you are only going to be mocked and shamed?
