Is US press making a mountain of a molehill re:the little singer?

I mean who cares if the Chinese lip-synched the song? Is that a story or just more carping against the Chinese?

no...it just shows how the chinese are such perfectionists.. they wouldn't let the original singer sing because she's not "pretty" enough or she has buck teeth. that's really horrible

I will never watch a Chinese opening ceromony again.Ever!!.Can you imagine if a American lip-synched a song.Luciano Pavarotti lip-synched at the opening ceremony of the Turin Winter Olympic Games in 2006.

Dozens of pop stars mime their songs sometimes even whole shows but nobody says a word. I thought the little girl who mimed the anthem was wonderful as was the little girls voice who actually sang the song, which I should point out was probably done in a studio and even that was probably doctored .Its ok for American and British pop stars to mime but not so for the Chinese.  Sad world ain't it

Did you ask the same question when Milly Vanilly was busted for it? I dont see where the press is doing any more than reporting on it. As far as "carping" if you think the Chinese govt. has any good intentions for anything but there own selfish cruel agenda you must live in a cave or either youre a Liberal. Dont get me wrong. The press, at least the Liberal media, will harp on any little insignificant thing that promotes their ignorant agenda and either not report, bury the story in a one paragraph mention in the middle of the paper, or outright lie about anything that happens that might prove how full of it they are.
