  1. I'm a small farmer.  It's actually quiet the OPPOSITE.  There are 15 sell-out states so far that now have laws making it illegal to ban GM crops!

The sell out states are Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Texas, and West Virginia.

The companies, like Monsanto, are getting these laws passed to protect their GM seeds, and to drive more small farmers, and organic farmers out of business.

Witht the passing of these laws, companies like Monsanto now have the right to sue any farmer who saves seeds that have been pollinated by their patented GM seeds from pollen drift, birds, bees, bats, or wind blown pollen.

This gives these companies TITANIC power and control over our food supply.  They will very effectively be able to drive small farmers and organic crop/seed farmers right out of business.

  2. The new corn-plastic packaging is mostly made from GM corns, and the government is heavily subsidizing that industry (corn for packaging, that is).

  3. Very doubtful.   US companies are the ones who design the most GM crop species.     Other countries might because GM crops are a danger to non- GM crops.   They cross pollinate and can ruin a strain of plant that has been bread for centuries.

  4. No, certainly not. GM crops are in wide use.

  5. As some of the genetic traits are escaping the gm plots, they ought t cnsider it.  but so far its a money maker!
