Is USPS Online Tracking reliable?

I mean.. It went from winsdor california to oakland and then back up north to richmond?? In five days??

  1. The USPS tracking system works great. It depends how you send the package or letter as to how long it will take to get there. Worked great for me.


  2. True tracking is only available with Express Mail Service. Priority Mail International will track until it leaves the US, then it depends on the receiving country to pick up the tracking.

    More likely, what you have is Delivery Confirmation. You can't expect DC to act as tracking even though you have seen some interim scans. Likely, the interim scans were for events like Missent or Redirected if it is running around the countryside.

    It is also possible that the item is a Package Services item and is following the normal path to get to the destination.

    The main thing to remember is that the Delivery Confirmation service is only intended to "Confirm" the "Delivery" of an item, not to track it.

  3. I have used it before and it is usually pretty accurate. The three times I have used it, it was really accurate!
