Is United Nations successful in its peace keeping function?

We are one, but politicians shatter us apart. I don't see that peace is gonna take place anywhere sooner or later.

The UN is THE biggest flop in history, its a huge waste of money and all it does is create smoke screens of establishing safe zones.

The UN is THE least effective group, per $ spent, of any, including current and past wars. The UN talks a good talk but does SO little that its credibility is almost a negative number.

The UN peacekeeping forces may very well provide assistance to countries that need emergency stabilization, but their long term effect is nil.

The UN is worthless in the Iran dispute, and has accomplished nothing in the debate about getting Iran to close their nuclear facilities.
