  1. If you are using it without their permission then yes it is very illegal.

  2. It is illegal.  PayPal policy states clearly it must be your own account.

  3. If you are an authorized user of the credit card, there is no problem.  That authorization has to come from the credit card company through the owner of the credit card, not just verbal permission from the owner of the credit card.

  4. If you have the explicit permission of the cardholder to use the card, then no, it is not illegal.

If you do not have permission, DO NOT USE THE CARD!

I know someone who found a credit card on the ground and used it to fuel his car at a couple of different gas stations.  The stations were on surveillance and they got his license plate number, and now the guy is facing two counts of felony identity theft.  Not worth it for a couple tanks of gas!

The bottom line here is: Always think before you act.

  5. Anything that doesn't belong to you, or is not in your name is technically considered Illegal.

Why would you do that anyway?

Get your own card, then add it to paypal.

It only makes sense after all :)

  6. Unless you have their permission, it is definitely illegal, and it doesn't matter where you use it.

  7. Since a credit card is like money, that is like stealing money. It is very illegal of course.
