I think that V for Vendetta shows what our future may be like if humans do not change their ways, fast.

It reminds me of the quotes "All that evil needs to succeed is for good men to do nothing" and "Those who would give up freedom for security deserve neither."

It also sends a message how easily it is for governments to take advantage of tragedies and increase surveillance and their power, all in the name of "national security".

  1. It's always reminded me of the words of Martin Niemoller, a  German priest during the n**i leadership

    "In Germany, they came first for the Communists, And I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a Communist;

    And then they came for the trade unionists, And I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a trade unionist;

    And then they came for the Jews, And I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a Jew;

    And then . . . they came for me . . . And by that time there was no one left to speak up."

    Words still apt for today.

  2. No.  I remember watching it and thinking "geez, why isnt the whole cast  g*y"?

  3. No. Actually, Beerfest is.

    Psst: if you live your life through movies, you need help.

  4. I would have to agree with you regarding America's current political, social, and economic recession. As in the movie V for Vendetta; all it takes is someone to stand and be the voice of action. Hopefully our country will wake up before dire events as in Vendetta emerge.

  5. I thought it was boring. Preferred Idiosyncrasy myself

  6. No, it's up there on the list perhaps, but I personally think Zeitgeist is more important.  V for Vendetta does say something about how corporations are coming into power and the possibility of a New World Order does pop into our heads.
