Is VVS Laxman suitable for captaincy for IPL hyd team ?

i don't think he is a class player but 20-20 is a different form of cricket so need more energy and strength not only technique.

No, he is not suitable in IPL. He cannot even hit a six, or a powerful shot. And his captaincy wasn't so impressive.

I personally think that it is better to bring back Mohammad Azharuddin to Deccan chargers than playing with Laxman.

laxman hasn't got goin in the ipl so far. but as a captain he couldn't be dropped either. troubles for team management

i have thought the very same thing as i belive that a batsmen of his style of cricket are not capable for the adrenaline rush of the t20 style format but its true he has experience and has a right to play but unluck time for the poor guy not having that much fun.

Well i think he should not be the captain. he is ok for 20:20 but not suitable for captaincy. Perhaps i feel gilchrist should be the captain.

For IPL HYD , V.V.S.Laxman is undoubtedly the best choice. His experience, style, leadership quality are great . You can't blame Laxman for a defeat or two. He is very stylish batsman and a smart slip fielder.Who else is there in HYD Team to replace him?His team isn't that great . But , I am sure , he will prove his worth soon with his less talented players that he has .

I think laxman is a great player however i don't think he is as well suited to 20-20. Also I don't think he could be captaining simply because before the IPL tournament laxman has never played a 20-20! Thus he has no real experience in the format as the game compared to other players

Ya just the thing I was thinking.

The team is such a wonderful one with the best of the players in international cricket and from the country. Still it is not winning a game just 'coz VVS Laxman is not a good captain. Look at how he changes the field every time a boundary is hit, just like small children. And I don't think he is the kind ho can maintain a good relationship with the players.

my opinion no Laxman has not proved he is even adequate at captaining a team and his batting has been terrible i dont think he will be able to bat at the pace that is needed for 20 20 cricket the best thing for Deccan Chargers is for him to be dropped and Gilchrist can captain them and they will have Gibbs soon because Cobras were knocked out in the semi-final of the pro twenty so they should put him in he can open with Gilchrist that opening partnership will be explosive because there is usually no movement on Indian pitches Gibbs should do well
