  1. Hello. Valencia does attract tourists but not as many as Madrid, Sevilla, Costa del Sol area, and Barcelona do. If your business will do better with more tourists then I would probably suggest inquiring in one of those areas I listed above.

  2. Not as much as others.

Top cities for tourism in Spain are Madrid, Barcelona, Sevilla, Granada, and Málaga.  That doesn't include the Islands.  Like Málaga, they are mostly beach related tourists, whereas the other cities are more monument/museum stressed.  I think Valencia probably falls a bit behind Granada.

Maybe you could be the one to bump it up there!

  3. Valencia City, while the 3rd largest city in Spain, has a much smaller percentage of the tourism market than does Madrid, Barcelona, Seville, and Granada.

Valencia's time in the sun is just that - during the summer when MANY MANY Spaniards (key point) flock to its beaches as well as those beaches nearby in Benidorm and Alicante. The rest of the year there's much less tourism.

During the summers, Valencia CITY has not only a high percentage of SPANISH tourists visiting but also a high percentage of non-Spanish tourists. Benidorm and even Alicante have a higher percentage of NON-Spanish tourists visiting them. The rest of the year, these three places are visited more by Spaniards than non-Spaniards.

So for the above reasons, you'll not only want to cater to NON-Spaniards but to Spaniards alike. Spaniards traveling around within their own country  are the larger percentage of tourists. Your tourism business should be (at least) bi-lingual utilizing Spanish and English languages.

    Best of luck!

  4. Well it is not the main tourist destination in Spain but almost every city in Spain has some tourist interest.

In my humble opinion I think you should go to Barcelona, better in all ways (also touristically) and very similar to Valencia (only bigger, greater, funnier, lovelier, etc)

  5. Well, I think it is. Maybe more national tourism, but the beaches in Valencia are soo great and it is very close to Alicante (Benidorm...how many british hooligans per square feet are there? one hundred?) and Cataluña, it is Mediterranean, beaches, sun, nightlife, food...tourism!
