I am thinking of places to go. Does Vancouver have a lot to do along with being a great city as it is described. Would it be worth a trip in the future?

  1. it

is unbelievably beautiful city..fell in love on first sight..do not hesitate and visit!my top destination and I travel a lot!

  2. I have lived here my whole life. It would be worth a trip, but don't risk coming here outside of June-September unless you want to risk experiencing horrible weather.

There are a few things that I noticed about some of the other answers... Fire season? What fire season? There is a difference (about a 400 km difference) between Vancouver and the Okanogan. And I wouldn't dare classify Vancouver's traffic as "horrible", although there can be a fair amount of traffic getting in and out of the city sometimes, but why would you want to go to the suburbs anyways...

Vancouver is densely populated;  area wise, it's actually quite small. Getting around is no challenge. Some places I recommend going to are Granville Island, the sea wall, Stanley Park, including the aquarium; Yaletown; and the Chinese Night Market, which is in Richmond.

  3. Yes, Vancouver is a very beautiful place for such a large city.  It is surrounded by water on three sides which makes traffic a bit of a problem as there is no freeway system within the city boundaries.  There are so many things to do in Vancouver as the mountains are on the North Shore of the harbour so there is always the opportunity to hike, ski, fish, explore, white water rafting, scuba diving, sailing, swimming etc.  There is also a great night life and plenty of clubs, movie theatres etc.

  4. I went to Vancouver last summer, it's really a beautiful city, wonderful landscapes. There are a lot of things to see, Stanley park is beautiful and it's near the downtown. Vancouver Aquarium, Vancouver Art Gallery, you should go at the top of Harbour Center (177m) beautiful view,

Grouse Mountain, on Vancouver island: Victoria (Royal BC museum), the parliament (it's free), butchard's gardens... so many things

  8. Are we talking BC? I've been to vancouver BC and it is gorgeous and great people too, I lived in Montana forever and love it there too, avoid fire season if you can, have a fun trip, big hugs

  9. Vancover is a really good city, but the amount of people is insane!

Sooo much traffic and lots of people in the malls, restraunts, and tourist-y places.

Sure, Vancover has lots to offer, but if you're looking for a less busy coast city in BC, try Victoria. And if you want a really sweet city that's pretty calm, go to Sidney!

    have fun on your trip!♥

  10. Vancouver has been voted the #1 city in the world to live in just within the last 5 years... its fabulous.

  11. Horrible weather meaning RAIN btw.

And yes it is a beautifull city. I would say definetly worth the trip, although unless you live here you may run out of things to do in a few days....
