Is Ventones a safe place for free ringtones?

Because I just got a new phone,[and I didn't want to ruin it]so I wanted to know if it would be SAFE and FREE to use. =]

Ventones.com is awesome, its a very safe site and I do recommend it.  I've actually been using it for years now. I have 2 phones registered with them and I have never received any spam and not even 1 email from them ever. And they have never charged my phone anything at all.

You should ringtone sites that state the following:

1) Stay away from the ones that promise, "Just enter your phone number, and buy a 1 month pass for 4 or 5 ringtones, etc..."

2) if they send you a pin code, read their terms carefully, because inside that pin code(by carrier rules), they have to state the price and the cost of the monthly subscription. You'll see that Ventones doesn't send you any pins or anything

And finally,

Stick with the new wave of Web 2.0 sites like Ventones that allow users to create their own content. Those are free. That's what Ventones is and thats why its free. They rely on the ads they put on their site to make money. Seems like they are doing it with google ads.

Is your phone number and email safe? Each one is different. Its possible that some might sell your info, but like I said, Ventones has never spammed me or charged my wife's phone, so I'm sticking with them until i see otherwise.
