Is Victoria a pretty name?

Question

My friends name is Victoria...but she hates it.

I try to convince her its a pretty name, but she won't listen.

I've already tried Victoria Beckham, Queen Victoria...even Victoria's Secret, to get her to like it!

So, do you like (the name) Victoria?

I think it sounds pretty, but i also think it sounds a little STIF or BORING. It is still pretty dont get me wrong.

or Tory/Tori?

I think it's a beautiful name although I wouldn't use if for my own future daughters. One of my best friends is a Victoria (but she goes by Vicky) and it suits her wonderfully.

If she doesn't like it then have a nick name that she does like. But  still have a victoria meaning like tori or vicki. Also have her ask her parents how she got the name.

My last name begins with "V" so a "V" first name would be perfect.  We considered Vanessa or Victoria, but settled on Victory.  My son came along then, so we didn't need a girls' name.

i think that most people don't like their name as they don't really have the choice in what their name is

its a name which can have many nick names like Vicky and vick

which is good if she doesn't like her full name

but it has a really nice ring to it and her parents must like the name as they chose it for the most special possessions ever to them

I think most people dislike their names as they're growing up but I have a friend of a friend who didn't like Victoria so called herself Toria??!!  I liked that. I think Victoria is a nice name although Likening it to that Victoria Beckham creature is enough to put anyone off of it!!
