Is Vidor Texas as racist as everyone says it is???

I was just curious about Vidor. Is it as racist as people make it sound? I know full well that there are decent, good people in Vidor, don't get me wrong. However you would think that with all of the turmoil that has happened there, that at least some significant percentage ( significant could be as little as 5%) of the population there is extremely racist. So tell me; what do you think?

there are some really great people there but yes, racism is still alive and kicking there. They haven't come out of the 1800's yet.

I'm a native Texan.  Everything I've ever heard, and still hear , suggests there is still a lot of racism there.
