Is Vietnam a safe country?

I'm an American, and have been in Hanoi for the past month and a half. I feel very safe, and have no problems going anywhere or any place in Vietnam.

There are always precautions to take when traveling anywhere. Don't do anything stupid. Failure to engage your brain in a foreign country will make any place the most dangerous place in the world.

Vietnam is a very safe place to travel and explore.  The people are so friendly and helpful.  We travel there almost every year.  If you go you have to visit the ancient city of Hue.  It is so beautiful; but there are many places in Vietnam that are beautiful.  We have traveled over the whole country and have never had any problems.  Hope you go and enjoy.  Cheers.
