  6. No its not really expensive.  Trust me I may be 12 years old but I know how it is here.  1 USD is about 16000 VND.  An average hotel is about 30 USD and an average day cost of taxi fares are about 5-15 USD.  If you have 40 dollars, you can spend a whole night with some friends in a nice place to eat.  Trust me on this.  I have been living in Danang for about 2 and a half years.  Im about to go back to the US in 3 weeks.

  7. No!! it's not!  Vietnam is the new place to go.  The country is absolutely beautiful.  With miles of white sand beaches, cool mountain hideaways, Great city night life and cozy country inns.  It’s very inexpensive. You can get nice hotel rooms for $10 and beer is 15 cents a glass. The people are wonderful. I have traveled just about everywhere and I ended up buying a home here because I like it so much.  Flights from almost any where are around $1000 USD. You more than make up the difference with the inexpensive lodging etc.  Also, you are close to Thailand, Cambodia , (Angkor Wat) Lao, Hong Kong, A ticket to Kuala Lumpur is about $50,  Lots to do and plenty to see. Check it out.

You will never regret it if you come to Vietnam. . Great food, amazingly wonderful people. We stopped our bikes at the end of the road by the river the other day. Out in the middle of no where. In minutes we were surrounded by kids saying "hello, Where you from?" the mothers came out a few minutes later and they are bringing out food and laughing. A few minutes later the men came out bringing the rice wine. We had a full on party going and didn't understand much of what was going on. But... we knew that they were really friendly and they treated us like Rock Stars. Just amazing. Don't miss Vietnam. It will be your best trip ever. I promise.

  8. You want to buy Vietnam? Yeah probably a few hundred billion dollars or pounds.

  9. By western standards, Vietnam is not at all expensive. For around US$25 per day the dedicated backpacker could get by with cheap lodgings and food from stalls and little cafes. For US$65 a day it is possible to enjoy mid-range hotels and restaurants, see a bit of the nightlife and even use the public transport.

If you are planning a longer stay in Vietnam, you could rent a nice studio for as little as $300/month in Hanoi or Saigon. Day to day living is inexpensive.

  10. I have never been, but I know people who have & they say it's very cheap.

You can also buy very good copies of designer products there. I know of someone who is trying to set up a buisness of his own buying these i n from the trips he goes on there & selling them on to friends & family. They cost him so little there that they are a fraction of the price you would pay for copied material here.
