Is Vitamin B-12 good for improving my energy?

Is it more effective/better to take it in the liquid form, or in a pill form? And What are pros and cons of the vitamin? What are the best brands?

  1. vit B-12 function as coenzymes, DNA synthesis, amino acid metabolism and maintain nerve cells.

    Deficiency symptoms are anemia and neurological symptoms.

    Recommendation is 2.4 micro gram per day

    No toxicity level.

    Food Sources: animals, for strict vegans: fortified sources, & supplements.

    I don't know any brand but any supplements will help.


  2. I honestly don't know if it is an energy boosting supplement. I think it is for skn hair nails. A good supplement for vegetarians as they are generally lacking in this vitamin

There is no evidence that b12 will improve energy if you have no deficency in it.  But many patients ands some doctors beleive that B12 shots do.  Years ago it was popular for doctors to give older patients B12 shots to make them feel better.  I do not think many younger doctors are doing this.

  5. Vitamin B-12 is good for the metabolism of cells, so yes in a sense it could help improve your energy. I always take my pills in a capsile for or I would opt for liquid. The problem with some pills is they might not dissolve and so you could be taking them for nothing, which is why I opt for capsule. The true test with pills is the vinager test, drop it in a cup of vinager for a half hour if it breaks down then you know it is dissolving and will do you good, if it doesnt try a different brand.
