Is Volley Ball For Women?

Question

It seems volley ball is dominanted by females --and the way the ball is throwed and catch has female touches to it --so what u think?

and why there isn't any national games --like NBA or NFL?

of course not, and ur talkin to a girl that dominates this sport. if my school had a guy volleyball team it would kick *** cuz the guys can play, so no volleyball is for both male and female

it's not necessarilly for women... men can play it as well... the game is totally different but that's the same with every sport!

and the reason why there aren't any national games is because it's not as popular as basketball or football!

not always i know boys that are great at volleyball i also know girls who are great at volleyball i wish they had a professional team for it! that would rock!

No.... it is for both genders. And... at the top levels of collegiate matches, both genders have very exciting matches to watch.

There will need to be more of a following and demand for it to grow in passion throughout the country to make it to that of having a professional league and all.

Throwed and Catched?????? in volleyball you can catch or throw the ball and yeah there are national games but it mostly in the summer during baseball season so it doesn't get much press coverage. guys play it too!! alot of the coaches out there are guys they had to learn somehow!!

well it is mostly dominated by women but there are some men who play. Most Colleges give you that option.

I think that volleyball works for both, but women tend to like it better? Maybe. Or maybe just that it's not a contact sport. I think there might be national games, but I'm not sure. I know males and females who play volleyball though. It also might have something to do with the body type that's better for volleyball-- long and lean. But I don't know. This is mostly speculation.

Volleyball is not dominated by females. In the US, most states do not have boys volleyball in high school, so female volleyball is more ubiquitous.

It's for both men and women. Some men I have seen that play volleyball are AMAZING!  Just because more Females play it, doesn't mean its a girls' sport!

of course not. volleyball is for both genders. in america volleyball isn't as big but in other countries volleyball is a very big thing, where guys team play other countries. i should know, i play volleyball :D

well the AVP is an american beach program or whatever that both men and women compete in. Also The US has both men and women national teams but they play around the world against other countries. And some colleges have volleyball programs for both men and women but not all. I think that (believe it or not) girls have more of the volleyball body!!!

Volley Ball is gender neutral game that can be played by the young or the old.  Beach volleyball is popular and has its own league and has both men and women playing it.  Sometimes a man and a woman will make and team and play another male and female team.  You need to watch more ESPN during the summer.  The Olympic games has both men and women's teams.  Colleges have cut back on male teams in response to title 9 rules on scholarships have to be equal in number for men and women.  Football takes a bunch of male scholarships so schools have to pick and choose what other sports men can compete in.  Often times volley ball loses to other sports like swimming or basketball.

Of course volleyball is for women.  I think volleyball is actually more a female sport.
