Is WALMART a good place to work?

Im 16 and want to get a job since im finished with highschool. and would need the money.

I've never worked retail, but I'm sure it's a good place.  Actually, didn't Walmart hire aliens and pay them below minimum or something on the news.  They're a fortune 500 co, however, any place to work would be good... You're not going to school?

for a 16 year old yes. but some stores wont hire you unless your 18 (like mine) but not all stores are like that, so ask.

but if you want a career at walmart, NO. even if you were to become a manager, NO.  it wont pay the bills.

but again for a 16 year old, YES. you get benefits, paid holidays, pay is ok since you probably dont have bills yet, flexible hours.

It's awful.  They should be considered the job of last resort.

No, it's not. You won't make any money, benefits are scarce, and the environment is oppressive.

If you have to work in a job where you won't make much money, at least find an employer that will treat you like a human being.

Or wait tables. People can be jerks but I was always able to walk away with more money in less time in restaurants than in retail.
