Is Wal-Mart Gift Card Like a Debit Card??

I got 2 walmart gift cards for my b-day, but I really want the cash thats on the card to spend somewhere else. So what I'm asking is, is the walmart gift cards work like a debit card? Where u make a perchase then it askes u if u want cash back? I hope so!!!

A Wal-Mart gift card is not like a debit card. You can only use it at Wal-mart to purchase goods up to the limit represented by the card. When something is returned it will be added back to the card or you will be issued a new card with the amount of the return. Hints for your next B-Day that you need cash.

No Wal-mart would be a giant if they let you use the cash somewhere else. Same thing happened to me, I even try to buy something and return it, but they will just put the money back on the same card or if you told them you lost it give you a new one. Sorry.

no, it isn't like a debit card. u can only use it at walmart. try selling them at craigslist.org, its a classifieds website & maybe u can sell them & get the cash that way. i hope that helped! :)

It is designed for purchases.  You can't get money to buy crack from your dealer.
