  1. bad, economic allance with China

  2. Walmart has diminished America's entrapenural quest.   It is simpler for people to allow others to provide for them, than for the people to go out and make something of themselves.   Our lives resulting in Walmart's presents in our community, has limited our ability to make a choice in where we can shop, what we can buy, and how much we have to pay.    The desire to buy something cheap, has now been realized.   Walmart offers cheap products.   They employ people who have no incentive to do anything worth while with their lives.   People who are willing to work for Walmart, are people willing to settle for the very least that life has to offer.   America has become a nation of slobs, Walmart caters to that world.   Go into Walmart late at night, and you will see the lowest that humanity has to offer.   The troglidites that work for Walmart, have no personal pride in themselve or respect for others.   They are willing to present themselves as "street people" who have no value for life's opportunities.   You go into Walmart at night, and you will find certain areas of the store blocked off, requiring customers to enter an area through one controlled isle, "to limit" the possibility of "theft/shrinkage".   Walmart operates, under the attitude, that anyone in the store after 10 o'clock, plans to rob/steal from the store.   The Electronic department, the Pharmacy department are being blocked off by Walmart putting stacks of shipping pallets in isles to prevent normal passage between isles.   The products offered, are limited in variety, poorly displayed, and typically are "culls/poorly made" products that other stores choose not to offer.    I've attempted to purchase Denim jeans, of the same brand, all marked different sizes, and all being the same size.    In other words, Walmart offers reject products that cannot be sold by other businesses.    Walmart employees, are mostly "part time" elders who are trying to augment their social security income, but do not get any benifits for the time they spend working.   Walmart employees undocumented illegal aliens, despite state laws prohibiting such employment.    Walmart offers mostly import products that have no quality of use.  Very few products offered are made in our country.   As you can tell, I have little regard for Walmart.    I resent Walmarts presence in our communities.

  3. Gives food and clothes for a a reasonable price. Although a 2003 wage analysis reported that cashiers, the second most common job, earn approximately $7.92 per hour and work 29 hours a week. This brings in annual wages of only $11,948. ["Statistical Analysis of Gender Patterns in Wal-Mart's Workforce", Dr. Richard Drogin 2003]

. It as employs a labor force of poor people in China.

  4. Wal*Mart is doing what companies are supposed to do.

Make money. Be accountable to their stockholders.

Having never been a corporate CEO I'm not an expert. But perhaps .....

if they took care of their employees they would make even more money.

I rarely shop there for a number of reasons.

  5. Wal-Mart is good because it allows people to buy cheaper priced items, thus allowing them to buy more.

Wal-Mart is bad because in offering those lower priced products, it has to buy from other countries, and thus, Americans are out of work.

I am both 'pro' and 'con' Wal-Mart.  It's a tough conundrum.
