Question:

Is Wal-Mart really going to stop using plastic in place of the reusable bags they are selling?

My mother heard the reason they are selling the reusable bags is because in a few months they are going to stop using plastic bags altogether. Customers are to bring those bags in, or other bags or boxes, to put their purchase(s) in. I say it's totally bogus, but then again, having worked for them in the past and still knowing people that do, I wouldn't put any idiotic ideas past them.

  1. I don't think so ;)

  2. I hope they do go to reusable bags.  With the high volume sales they have, they need to take some responsiblity for the amount of plastic they are dispatching into the landfills.  I use reusable bags for all the groceries and shopping I do.

Many stores are offering incentives to use reusable bags, like raffle entries for each use, or mail-in exchange of plastic bags for reusable bags (Target).

It WILL be okay.  Many widely accepted ideas today seemed idiotic at inception!

  3. wal-c**p will only do two things, try to keep popularity and make lots of $$$$$$$$$$$. Of course they are a greedy corp so making lots of $$$$$ is their # 1 priority
