  1. nope!! where did you hear that from???

  2. walmart is hooked up with china, where they get their credit and financing as well as all their products. one two things wrong with that.

it puts us in a big dilemma. solution?

  3. They sure aren't helping.

  4. the government needs no help from wal-mart

  5. Yes, you cannot buy anything made in the USA there, sorry but I will pay a dollar or 2 more to shop elsewhere Wal-Mart is evil..

Watch WAL-MART: The High Cost of Low Price, it is sickning!!

  6. Walmart offers products to people.  How does that bankrupt the country?

You sound like the type who would like to control what can be sold where so that the foolish masses can't mess up the country for you.

Call Hugo Chavez.  He might let you move down to Venezuela.  Then you can have your wish.  Jackboots on the throats of the foolish masses so that everybody is equally stripped of liberty and handed an appropriately managed ration.

In case you don't get the gist of all this...in America, the idea is to buy what you want to buy and not buy what you don't want to buy.  If you want to buy overpriced, inferior products so that big labor can continue to enforce mediocrity in the American workplace, be my guest.

  7. Dont know but I know this fact-Walmart employs two of my relatives who lost thier jobs due to the crappy economy. They are working/contributing to the economy and paying taxes. while they look for something better. HUh? Huh? Huh?

  8. lol poor walmart ..everyone always puts the blame on them..but forgets that ALL retail companies(grocery stores, dept stores, cars, clothing ect.) with the exception of a few handful get their items from out of the united states, even items that claim to be manufactered in the us still get their parts from other countries and visa versa.its cheaper to get things manufactured there than it is here.sure the companies can stop that and get their products made here....but how much more are you willing to pay for the product.it costs more to manufacture/produce products here than it does in other countries such as china.we are already complaining about high prices...why make them higher?

  9. Yeah, the billions of dollars of taxable income they create both through corporation tax and income tax mean nothing.

They also don't employ thousands of people, driving money back into the American economy.

Yes, arguably they are eliminating smaller chains - but such is a relatively free market economy.

  10. one could make that argument, and I would agree,

    Walmart is doing more

  11. Our local Walmart is the only store in a 100 mile radius where a person can buy a roll of tiolet paper.

Every other store goes broke trying to compete.

  12. nope, they are doing more to help.

    They are the biggest employer.

They provide goods at the best price

They are an All American Company.

Poor man works hard, makes it big.  American Dream Wal-Mart

  13. Yes it's a case of Big Fish eats Little Fish....therefore they are eliminating the small business people in this country and forcing us (I cant afford to shop where i want) to buy their products because of price which I don't know if anyone has noticed has gone up and the quality (meat, pastries) of some items is not that great.

  14. Yes.  They are very poor with suppliers who use cheap labor.  They have the lion's share of any state's medicare, as their employees have little if any benefits.  They pay poorly.

And they attract a certain element who will give us both thumbs down.

  15. A) what is Walmart doing?

    B) what is the government doing?

I need more info to answer this question.

Well, I think Americans are doing it to themselves for the most part by using credit cards and the equity in their home to buy things they don't really need.

  16. Perhaps, but they are only 50% of the problem.  The other 50% of the problem are the millions of shoppers who flock there mindlessly and keep Wal-Mart in business.
