Is Walmart vision center good?

I need an eye exam and new glasses but money is so tight and I can't afford much.. the Walmart vision center (and perhaps the one in Target) are cheaper than most other places..but, I'm wondering, are they good or should I avoid them at all cost?

I purchased glasses there about 4 months ago and they have been good.  The eye doctor was creepy but the prescription he gave me was good and I am happy with the final product.

LensCrafters sometimes has better deals than Walmart, though.
