Is Warwick Castle suitable for a fairly robust 2 year old? I'm thinking of going on Sunday

Kate walks everywhere and is not easily frightened - loves animals like horses and birds of prey so it seems like a good idea but just wanted to check with anyone who has taken a toddler. Also what catering is available? Thanks

  1. No, I wouldn't think Warwick Castle is a suitable place to take a 2 year old, unless you plan to spend the day just in the grounds. The castle is full of  very old furniture, and historic artifacts, and a 2 year old "bombing" about will probably not be appreciated.

I don't think there is enough in the Castle to hold the attention of a curious 2 year old, and she will soon get bored, stroppy, and troublesome, and you might find she will spoil not only your day, but other people's too.

Please don't think I'm trying to suggest your little girl is a monster, but she IS a 2 year old, and I think there are probably more suitable places around, where she will be happier, and you can visit Warick Castle when she is a little older.

Perhaps the nearby West Midlands safari park, would be a safer bet for a visit on Sunday, lots of animals, and a petting zoo, where she can get up close to the animals. Have a nice day!!!
