Question:

Is Wic,Medicaid, and the Department of Children and Families all connected with other states?

I ask this because I will be moving (to another state) and thought that it would be so much easier if it were since then they would have a lot of my info already in their system. I know I will have to reapply for everything when I move but if they already have all of the other necessary info then it would just be easier.

Does anyone by chance work for any of these departments and see if they can find out the answer to whether or not all states are connected in these departments in their system?????

  1. no. these are state run programs and each state is different.

  2. They are connected to know if you are cheating them, but you will have to completely reapply for EVERYTHING.  Keep all your important papers handy, they'll ask for proof of everything.

  3. Dept of children and families?  You mean welfare?  If so, they are state run, but their systems are connceted.  I know this because, when I applied for cash aid, my son had the same name and almost the same social (except the same digit) and the same birthday, but we were in California and this baby was in Texas.  This babys info came up and they thought I was frauding.  So for sure their systems are connected.  Medicaid should be the same way.  As for WIC, it is not connected I do not believe.

When you move you will want to be sure your case is actually closed so they dont think its fraud.  also, get the contact info of all your workers just in case.
