Is William Beckett really related to Victoria Asher?

I've been a fan of Cobra Starship and The Academy Is... for a while. I've watched more interviews and been to more concerts than i can count. And I've never heard about them being cousins, until I read Wikipedia. I mean, Vicky-T's family is kind of famous,....and british. William Beckett's is not...

Does anyone have any factual proof that they are related?

Vicky-T is related to Paul McCartney's ex-fiancee. Not sure about Beckett, though.
