I think maybe Toure should have been selected last season but he chose Gallas - he made a few boo boo#s shall we say last year but this year he will learn from them and lift the league trophy as captain

No not really but who else have they got with the leadership quallities needed apart from Fabregas and i think he is still to young for the job at the moment.

he is a good captain but he needs 2 toughen up a bit. if wenger made sum1 else captain he should probably pick toure or van persie

Yes, he has a lot of experience in the game and he has good leadership skills which he could use with the many youth players in Arsenal.

he dosen't appear to be, his reaction against birmingham last season and then (his idea) his display of leadership qualities by having the team talk in front of the cameras on the pitch against spurs shows a lack of self belief, having said that arsene wenger is no fool and taking the captaincy away from him could completely ruin the guy.

im a life long gunners fan n dont believe gallas is the right choice coz he is not a leader. fabregas is still too young to captain arsenal but 4 the future defo but rite now i tink it shud be toure.

I think in the leadership department he's as good as they got along with Toure. Wenger could take a punt on Fabregas but maybe he believes Gallas needs it more to stay focused.

im a man utd fan and i feel gallas was the visible face of arsenal losing it last season you need someone to remain focused and drive the team on not sulk on the halfway line when things go wrong

No, i dont think he is, and many people on here know my views on him.

Im a huge supporter of Arsenal and an even bigger supporter of Arsene Wenger, i trust him completely, think he has done a brilliant job at the club BUT thats the one mistake (in my eyes) he done last season was to give the captain's arm band to William Gallas.

I was hoping after his performance last season, or more so, lack of performance (Captain wise im refering to, he's an otherwise fantastic Defender) that Arsene would give the position of Captain to someone else. Unfortunately not.

Lets just hope that Gallas can show this season he's a much better Captain for our team than last season, and prove me wrong.

don't think so, look at how he reacted to things last season.  Kolo Toure is a much stronger character and i belive he should be the captain. Isn't he the only one left from the unbeatable season.
