  2. Maybe Jerry Lordon was influenced by the earlier work, but I guess we'll never know as he died in 1995.  He also wrote 'Apache', 'Diamonds' and 'Atlantis' for The Shadows.

  3. I don't notice the similarity, but listen to Ralph McTell's Streets of London, which is undoubtedly based upon Canon in D.
