America won't have a decision as to who is the strongest country, ie Japan as one example.

  1. the problem with nafta , gatt , wto , etc. is that they 'forgot' to put in a stop , if the trade becomes to imbalanced  . e.g. we buy 200 billion a year more from china  than they buy from us . we give them i.o.u.s for the difference in the form of T bills and T notes . they must buy more from us to balance this . how high will they let it get ?trillions ? if they ask to cash in all that a once, are economy crashes . look what happened last nov when china just hinted that they thinking of getting out of dollars , the dow dropped 350 points in one day .

  2. it is intersting to think that the orignal idea for free trade was to make countries buy goods from that country.. for instance Britian , who orignally adopted this policy, their goal was to open free trade between countries like brazil  so they can buy brazilian goods and raw materails at low prices and brazil in return would buy british goods.  this of course didnt work out  but this is where this free trade idea came in to play...

so to answer the question at hand..  world trade is.. free trade  but  each country has there own policy...  the idea is that americans can get cheap goods  and other countries will buy them..  WE love the china gives us such cheap products but now problem people are not buying american products because they can buy from china...

so no  world trade will bring down the american economy because no every country is economically on the same page.

but dont you worry your little heart cause im sure the us government wont let another country be the most powerfull, both militarilty and economically..

    hmm
