Is World Vision active in the Philippines?

Does anyone in the Philippines now, see the results of the work of World Vision. I'm looking for an unbiased answer to my question. Testimonies would be a good start. I just decided to sponsor a child there a few days ago. That's why I ask. Thank you.

  1. Yes, it is very active in the Philippines.  My friend is sponsoring a child and she gets the child's progress report, even letters from the child himself.

My colleague's husband works for World Vision and she was saying that her husband travels around the country a lot to visit their offices in the provinces and go to the sites were there sponsored children are based.  When Region 6 was heavily devastated by the recent typhoons, he and other volunteers were there in Iloilo and nearby provinces to help the victims.

  2. its a very reputable organization.

  3. Yes. We sponsored a child who lives in Kalibo, Aklan. We paid for whole year's worth of school tuition fees, etc.  You can actually check up on the kid's actual progress by coordinating with World Vision Management to visit your scholar. The kid even wrote a thank you letter to us
