Hey everyone,

We live in St. Louis, MO and are planning a trip to either Kansas City for 3 days or maybe another trip to Cedar Point in Ohio. I already know Cedar Point is the greatest place on Earth as some of you may know from seeing my answers on here on certain questions. I have been to some of the nation's top parks like Cedar Point, Holiday World, 4 Six Flags parks including the big one in NJ, and Kings Dominion in VA. So I was wondering if Worlds of Fun in KC is worth the trip? I checked the website and it doesn't look like much of a thrill park except for maybe 2-3 rides but since I haven't been there in over 15 years you guys and gals would know better than I. From reading the stats, Mamba sounds a lot like Magnum at Cedar Point which is a good thing since Magnum rocks. Any info or advice would be greatly appreciated! I'd much rather go to Cedar Point again personally but KC is 250 miles away while Cedar Point is 530. Thanks everyone.

  1. I live in St. Louis too so I go to Six Flags St. Louis a lot. But Worlds of Fun, despite being 259 miles away is much better than Six Flags St. Louis-trust me! Mamba is the same type of roller coaster as Magnum XL-200. Worlds of Fun doesn't have as many roller coasters as Six Flags St. Louis, but the rides are better and the landscaping is much better. Worlds of Fun is also much cleaner. I go to Worlds of Fun about 10 times a year. Patriot, which just opened in 2006, is the same kind of roller coaster as Batman the Ride, but it is larger, smoother, faster, and scarier. Detonator launches riders 160 feet into the sky. They have a nice wooden roller coaster called Timberwolf. And a boomerang roller coaster called... Boomerang. Worlds of Fun and Cedar Point are both owned by Cedar Fair. Don' t miss out on Worlds of Fun, it is truly better than Six Flags St. Louis. You might also want to try Holiday World in Santa Claus, Indiana. It is right off I-64 about 180 miles from St. Louis. They have some record breaking wooden roller coasters. And enjoy your trip on I-70 to Worlds of Fun, because the traffic can be bad, it is hilly, the shoulders are narrow, and there are lots of billboards. And if you have kids, you might want to keep them glued to the DVD player or their video games because there are like 100 adult supercenter signs along I-70.

  2. I have a season passport to Worlds Of Fun and I think its good, I personally would rather go to Cedar Point because it has way more rides well roller coasters. But I suggest you go to worlds of fun during Halloweekends (they have haunted houses and set everything up to match Halloween) its a lot of fun and its better than going when its not Halloweekends.

  3. Well worlds of fun is ok, but cedar point is indeed amazing

Your right the mamba is like the magnum

But that's like their best roller coaster, as compared to cedar point which has my favorites the maverick, dragster, and millennium force

I would say go back to cedar point, cuz its definitely worth it!
