Is Y!A anti-Junior?

Question

I'm not a Jr. fan, but I don't hate him either, so this is an impartial question to which I expect impartial results. Thanks.

Jr. has the largest fanbase of any current driver in Nascar, but the trend on Yahoo Answers seems to be the opposite. Many questions have an 'anti-Jr' standpoint, and I've seen a lot of answers from Jr. fans that are perfectly legitimate, but receive a lot of thumbs down. Obviously, fans are fans, and they support who they choose, but why does the community on Y!A appear to be starkly anti-Jr while the rest of the Nascar worlds are in their own Junior Nation bubble?

I don't think it's starkly anti-Jr. There are people who agree and disagree with the comments given, regardless who or what the subject is, it's a difference in opinion, that's all.

I've never been a fan of giving thumbs down, I don't do it, everyone is entitled to their opinions, even if they're different from my own.

I'm not a Jr. fan, by any means, but I don't really think I'm a hater, either, and those who sit and hate on Jr. really should focus their energy on supporting the driver they do like instead of wasting their time on hating the ones they don't.

see, the chick below me is the perfect example. junior is third in points, has led the most laps in a race 3 times this year, and now that he is finally in equal equipment he's schooling his hendrick teammates, but yet this bimbo is rambling on about how junior fans are stupid for not realizing junior sucks. HA! put down the haterade darlin', i see it's tasting bitter to you.

Yeah it does seem that way.  huh?  The thing with Junior Fan are, we are dedicated, no matter how rude people can be.  We are truly Dedicated!  It's kinda Sweet when we see their drivers mess up!  While Junior has not won a race, he's # 3 in points, and has been for a while.  Not  only that he has Class, and doesn't take other drivers out at any cost.  hint hint  We know he's gonna be # 1 Soon!  Most of all:  Who Cares What Others Think!

Dale Sr started his run in history at about the very same age Jr is now so I would be careful to say jr is washed up.

Just seems to be that way. I'm not a huge fan of Jr, I do not answer Jr bashing questions. Personally I call it jealousy 'cause the guys a multi-millionaire and has built a cool homestead. His house is awesome. An "Old West" village, a go-cart track. All kinds of rad vehicles.

I think it is a Kyle Busch fan myself. He has  several Ids and goes around agreeing with his self. It's obvious. It's probably Kyle Busch himself trying to fool the world into thinking he has a fan base.

Once they find out you are a Dale Jr fan they thumbs down you no matter what. Just the mentality of a Busch. That is the only way they can appear important to the world.

Not every Busch fan is like that but I know about 4 Kyle Ids that are the same person.

i agree with know it all. to its true, i can contradict what you said about smart people going with other drivers and not allowing someones father dictate who they root for.... im only 15 and have been only watching nascar for only 4 years so i never got to see any of sr's racing (sadly), i still chose jr as my favorite based on the type of person and driver he was and still is. I can honestly say that i've never given someone a thumbs down or blocked them just because there a fan of a driver who i dont like.

The haters on here are very LOUD, and usually RUDE about it.  I am a die-hard Jr. fan, and have been since he started driving in Busch cars.  But lately, on here, there is so much ignorance and intolerance that if you even mention Jr., you get thumbs down.  I get tons of thumbs down, simply because of my signature at the end of my posts.  I think everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and between the true NASCAR fans, no matter who their driver is, there is some "playful" banter/bashing, with no ill intent.  It's the "kids" and those who just "tr0!!" around making trouble, that turn everything ugly around here.  Next time you judge a comment, post or question, look at that person's profile for their membership date.  Then make your decision.  Most of us have respect for the other true members of NASCAR NATION and the drivers they choose to follow!

I think it depends a little bit on which day it is.  Some days are very pleasant and positive, other days - not so much.  There are a lot of trolls who apparently have no life and just like to see who they can get riled up.

I see it go both ways.  It does seem to get lively at times.  I do see lots of frustration exibited by Jr fans.  The only thing that bothers me are the people who accuse everybody of cheating or dirty driving when Jr loses.  I've been a Rowdy fan since the first time I saw him drive, and to me this site is full of people who hate the kid.

I am a Jr fan not one of those who throw c**p and act like idiots at the track but I do and will always like Jr!! And it does seem like there are alot of haters of Jr's and Jr's fans on YA! Don't get me wrong there are still plenty of others who respect you no matter who your driver is but then you've always got the other bunch.  I don't care who your driver is and wether or not I like them but I will still give you respect as a fan no matter what everyone has the right to cheer for who they want and our opinions may not agree but hey to each their own right!!

His reign is coming to an end? Wow, idk what to say about that. Look at his stats this year so far compared to a whole season in the past few yrs. His reign isnt ending, if anything it's just getting started. He'll pick up and take off. He is in a viable spot most certainly for the cup, just a couple wins and he'll be fine. Loook where he's at, WITHOUT a win he is 3rd in points. Watch out Jr's just getting started.

Whenever someone is a positive force and has a lot of fans other people feel intimated or have a loss of control.  Most people are control freaks and they are meagor minded so they hate what they can't control.  Ie, Jr. and the Jr. Nation the others are threatened by it.

Junior does have a very large fan base, and I have notice that there are alot of Junior bashers on Y/A.  I don't bother with it. They can have their own opinion it is a free country. Not everyone has to be a Junior fan.

If you are a Dale Jr fan on this forum, you gotta have tough skin, he is a lot of peoples favorite, and just as many on here hate him.. But its a free country..I am a Dale Jr fan, but theres a bunch of Jr Nation I can do without, I'm not one of the fans at the track throwing beer cans and bottles, and being obnoxious.. I've have enough thumbs down to have my own thumbs down nation..
