It seems to me that a system that revolved around people "reporting" anything they don't like is a total joke.

Pretty much. I have had two violations in the last week. Both were overturned. At least they are doing that now. Didn't do that before.

You just have to watch your fans list for report packs. Check to see the applicant's views, and if they're consistent with yours. Sometimes you'll have someone who is inconsistent, but obviously is a fan anyway. Those people are cool. But people with less than 500 points are always suspect. Be careful, people really really hate opposing viewpoints. Personally, I don't care enough to stop them from reporting me. But I could see why you might want to.
