Is Yahoo - Politics and Government - Just a place for ranting?

Question

Seriously. Most places on Yahoo answers have some kind of intelligent discourse. But Politics and Goverment seems like a bunch of over zealous Right Wing / Left Wing idiots slinging "vitual" mud at each other. Half of them don't even seem like they really understand the issues, just want a chance to poke at each other. Why am I wasting my time even posting this question?

What is your opinion about this?

Pretty much, notice how like McCain and Obama questions get like 30 answers that just insult the opposition but real political questions get about 3 to 5 answers. Goes to show the intelligence level of the people here.

There is a lot of ranting, true, but the earnest thinking people I do encounter make my visits worth it.

(Personally I prefer to call my rants, "essays".  :)

Look in the real world.

Not in solving the misery of living human kind?

In coming up with a solution?

Instead of complaining,complaining all day long without a solution in time with self lack of knowledge?
