  1. Some people's ignorance leads them to some pretty bizarre ideas about what is or isn't funny.

Not knowing who I am or where I came from isn't funny to me.

  2. Like anything in our world, there are plenty of stupid people trying to ruin what is good.  Yes, just sift through it, laugh at morons and take comfort in good advice and good advice seekers.

  3. This is an easy one.... everyone likes

    A - T - T - E - N - T - I - O - N

and people get it here regardless of age, s*x or anything =D

  4. Hi Jane,

Welcome!  I know what you mean, it does seem like there are quite a few youngsters around.  According to the rules, kids are supposed to be at least 13 to have a Yahoo Answers account.  Every category will have some people who are just out seeking attention, others who are practicing their creative writing skills, and still others who are trying to irritate other members.

When asking a question, just sift through to find the answers that are serious and helpful to you.  There will always be some good ones in there.  Above all, don't let the bad ones get to you.  If something is not helpful for you, just move on.

When answering questions, just ignore the obvious troll ones, and head for those who are earnestly seeking information that you feel you could help them with.  You will find that answering & asking questions can be fun and even addicting at times!

    Good luck,

  5. Absolutely it's a wind-up

Much as people whine and cry foul, there is also plenty of adoptee bashing, adoptee put-downs and insults telling us we should be grateful we weren't aborted/left in a dumpster, that we owe our 'real' parents and that we shouldn't be looking for our first parents and that we should be eternally grateful and never speak up about how it feels to be adopted unless it is warm and fluffy and to the liking of the folks here

This site is very anti-adoptee.  People here want adoptees mute, grateful.  Silent.  Non-adopted people want to speak on our behalves and on behalf of our mothers about how we 'should' think and feel.

Other than that, it's great.  Have fun
